Dedicated to the memory of our founder, Eric Bass.

With 14 years experience in wholesale plumbing supply, having worked for companies such as Amstan, Lord Babcock and Keenan Supply, Eric Bass opened the doors of his own venture, C&L Supply in 1981.

Named for his two daughters, Carmela and Leanne, our early years focused on selling plumbing supplies to the engineering maintenance community for use in facilities such as high-rise buildings and hospitals.

From inception, a business style steeped in personalized relationships defined a corporate identity that separated C&L from the competitors back then and continues to set us apart to this day.

Our personalized approach motivates us to deliver products that exceed performance expectations and offer meaningful benefits. In the beginning we focused on products that saved time and money. Today we've augmented our criteria to include environmental and community based benefits.

In the early 1990's we added a new product category of industrial lubricants and automated lubrication systems. The products of Petron Plus and ATS Electro-Luber met our rigid standards and brought us immediate and strong market share. They continue today to be an important part of our total revenue base.

In the early 2000's we added several new products with the focus on water and energy conservation. Waterless No-Flush urinals, the Watermiser Waterbrooms and flow control valves, Technical Concepts touch-free washroom fixtures and Excel Hi-Speed, energy saving hand dryers - products that contribute to acquiring LEED credits for sustainable buildings and products that help our customers demonstrate their commitment to the health and well-being of the environment and their community.

In 2002, Eric gifted 51% of the company to his daughter, Carmela, who has been running the company with him since 1983. Eric's wife, Carmen, oversees the company's daily operations. Stepson, Gordon, along with longtime employee, Jobette Fryer control the order desk. Martha Garcia handles bookkeeping, and longtime driver, Carlos Gonzales, makes sure your order arrives on time, intact.

Each working day, Eric Bass surrounded himself with his family, both related and extended. His influence guides us to maintain the close customer relationships and high ethical standards he demonstrated throughout his career. We're evolving and we're growing as a result of the fundamental principles set before us by our founder.
